Tim Walter
OPPOSITION FOCUS | IN THE DUGOUT

Hull City’s manager is Tim Walter, who was appointed back in May on a three-year deal.

His coaching career began with German side Karlsruher SC, where he was the assistant of Markus Kauczinski in their U19s team.

He went on to have coaching roles of the U15s, U17s and U19s, prior to being appointed manager of Bayern Munich’s reserve team in 2017.

Continuing his rise, Walter was named manager of Holstein Kiel, leading the club to an impressive sixth-place finish in the second tier, which earned him a move to Stuttgart in June 2019.

He was sacked by Die Roten in the December of that year despite being third in the table and went on to manage Hamburger SV after more than a year without the club.

During his time at Hamburger, the side lost out in the Play-Offs in both of his first two seasons.

Since moving to Hull City, the Tigers have struggled for form, winning just once from seven matches in all competitions.

OPPOSITION FOCUS | SEASON SO FAR

After finishing the 2023/24 campaign in seventh, one place outside of the Play-Offs, Hull City will be disappointed with their start to this term.

The side began the campaign with three consecutive draws against Bristol City, Plymouth Argyle and Millwall, before falling to defeat to Leeds United.

Another loss followed, this time to Sheffield United, but the Tigers will be encouraged by their most recent performance.

Facing Stoke City away from home, second half goals from Kasey Palmer and Regan Slater, as well as Ben Wilmot’s own goal, saw them claim a 3-1 win, leaving them 16th in the table.

Lewie Coyle
OPPOSITION FOCUS | KEY PLAYER

As the Tigers look to build on their victory over Stoke City, the leadership of Lewie Coyle will be key.

The right-back has been at the club since August 2020, having previously been at Fleetwood Town.

He was named club captain ahead of the 2022/23 season and has become a key part of their side.

The defender is set to make his 150th appearance for Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

Cody Drameh
CLUB CONNECTION | CODY DRAMEH

Over the summer, the Tigers made the acquisition of full-back Cody Drameh, following the expiration of his contract at Leeds United.

The right-back signed a three-year deal with Hull City and has featured in four matches for the side so far.

Drameh started in their last match, playing 90 minutes in their 3-1 victory over Stoke City.

In the 2021/22 campaign, the defender had a loan spell in the Welsh capital and instantly became a popular figure with the Bluebirds.

Putting in some fine performances in the second half of our season, he was named both Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season.
