Cardiff City return to home soil to face Leeds United at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The fixture will take place on September 21st, with a kick-off time of 3pm.
OPPOSITION FOCUS | IN THE DUGOUT
Leeds United’s manager is Daniel Farke, who has been in the role since in July 2023, following on from previous boss Sam Allardyce.
Farke boasts previous success in the Sky Bet Championship, notably having an impressive spell at Norwich City between 2017 and 2021.
The German led the Canaries to the title in both 2019 and 2021, with a win percentage of 41.8% from his 208 matches as manager of the club.
In his career, Farke has also spent time at Russian outfit Krasnodar, as well as Borussia Mönchengladbach in Germany.
Since taking over at Leeds United, the side have won 33 from 61 games, amassing a win percentage of 54.10%.
OPPOSITION FOCUS | SEASON SO FAR
The Whites arrive in the Welsh capital currently sitting ninth in the Sky Bet Championship table.
Having began their campaign with a 3-3 draw against Portsmouth, the side followed up with another draw against West Bromwich Albion.
Their fortunes looked to be changing when they claimed back-to-back 2-0 wins in August, coming against Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City.
However, their first game back after the international break ended in defeat, as they were beaten 1-0 at Elland Road by Burnley.
OPPOSITION FOCUS | KEY PLAYER
A key part of Leeds United's side is Wales international Ethan Ampadu.
The versatile 24-year-old can play as an accomplished centre-back and as a defensive midfielder, joining the club on a permanent deal from Chelsea in 2023.
Since then, Ampadu has represented the side on 58 occasions in all competitions, scoring two goals.
In July this year, the Welshman was named club captain, showing his value to Farke's men.
STATZONE | CITY'S RECORD
The Bluebirds have gone head-to-head with Leeds United on 64 occasions.
The first ever clash came in March 1921, when Fred Pagnam scored the only goal of the game to secure a 1-0 victory for City.
In those 64 meetings, the Bluebirds have won on 29 occasions, with 16 ending in a draw and Leeds United claiming victory in 19 clashes.
City's last win over Saturday's opponents came in June 2020, when goals from Junior Hoilett and Robert Glatzel were enough to secure a 2-0 win.
