Luke Williams
OPPOSITION FOCUS | IN THE DUGOUT

Saturday's opponents' manager is Luke Williams, who was appointed in January 2024.

Williams' first managerial job came at Swindon Town. He stayed in the role for just under two years leaving by mutual consent following the Robins' relegation to League Two.

He later had a spell in charge of Notts County. Williams achieved promotion back to the Football League in his first season in charge of the Magpies.

During his time at our visitors, he has achieved a win percentage of 35.29%, winning 18 drawing 11 and losing 22.

OPPOSITION FOCUS | SEASON SO FAR

Swansea City are currently sat 12th in the Sky Bet Championship.

They are without a win in three, having suffered a defeat to Portsmouth, prior to a 1-1 draw to West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies took the lead through Tom Fellows, but Joe Allen scored late to share the points.

Last time out, they faced Southampton in the Emirates FA Cup, falling to a 3-0 defeat.

Simon Haworth
CITY FLASHBACK | HAWORTH NETS DERBY WINNER

The Bluebirds travelled to the Swans’ Vetch Field in March 1997 on a positive run, having picked up four wins in their last six.

A strong squad included the likes of Jason Perry, Scott Young and Carl Dale, who all made over 200 league appearances for the Club.

City made a brilliant start, finding the net in the 17th minute through Simon Haworth.

The striker netted for his hometown club in the South Wales derby, having come through the youth ranks at the Club.

Haworth’s goal was enough for the Bluebirds to claim a valuable three points and derby victory.

LAST TIME OUT | SOUTH WALES DERBY

The reverse fixture earlier this season ended in a draw, with both sides sharing the spoils.

Our visitors this weekend took the lead through Liam Cullen.

However, a clever cutback from Ollie Tanner set up Callum Robinson for a composed finish, securing a late equaliser for the Bluebirds.
