The fixture will take place on March 11th, with a kick-off time of 7:45pm

Matt Bloomfield
OPPOSITION FOCUS | IN THE DUGOUT

Luton Town’s manager is Matt Bloomfield, who was appointed earlier this year in January.

The former midfielder made over 500 appearances for Wycombe Wanderers, and after retirement took a role as a coach at the Chairboys.

After six months in the role, Bloomfield was appointed as Head Coach of League Two side Colchester United.

Having impressed with the U’s, he returned to Wycombe Wanderers to take over as manager following the departure of long-term boss Gareth Ainsworth.

Bloomfield’s Wanderers side had a remarkable start to this current campaign, as he won Manager of the Month in October and November which earned him a move to Luton Town in January.

Since taking over at the Hatters, he has a win percentage of 10%, having won one game, drawn three and lost six.

Luton Town
OPPOSITION FOCUS | SEASON SO FAR

Luton Town are currently 23rd in the Sky Bet Championship table.

The Hatters have struggled on the road this campaign, picking up just one win on their travels. Their form at Kenilworth Road has been better, earning 26 points which ranks them 17th in the division based on home form.

Having been relegated from the top flight last term, the Hatters could become the fourth team to suffer back-to-back relegations from the Premier League, following in the footsteps of Swindon Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sunderland.

Last time out, Bloomfield’s side suffered a 4-0 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor, with goals from Lyle Foster, Josh Brownhill, Ashley Barnes and a Mark McGuinness own goal securing all three points for the Clarets.

Alfie Doughty
OPPOSITION FOCUS | KEY PLAYER

The Hatters' standout player this season has been Alfie Doughty.

Having previously spent time on loan with the Bluebirds, he has been a shining light in a struggling side so far.

After registering eight Premier League assists last season, it is no surprise Doughty is continuing to perform in the Sky Bet Championship.

The left-bac'ks creativity has been vital for the Hatters, recording three chances created per 90 this campaign, the highest of any Championship player.

Doughty has also recorded the highest xA (expected assists) per 90 of any Championship player, with an impressive 0.4 per 90.

CLUB FLASHBACK | BLUEBIRDs DOMINANCE

One of the Bluebirds' most emphatic victories over the Hatters came in November 2020, with a convincing 4-0 win.

City made a dream start with two goals in the opening ten minutes. Sean Morrison turned in Harry Wilson's corner before Mark Harris doubled the lead with a composed finish only minutes later.

Just before the hour mark, Kieffer Moore made it three, heading home another one of Wilson's corners.

In the 82nd minute Sheyi Ojo powered home a fourth to secure a vital three points for the Bluebirds.
