Burnley's manager is Scott Parker, who was appointed on July 5th this year, following the departure of Vincent Kompany to Bayern Munich.
Parker had a great career during his playing days, operating as a talented midfielder for the likes of Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Newcastle United, West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham.
He also gained experience at international level, making 18 caps for England.
Since switching to management in 2019, Parker has gained promotion from the Sky Bet Championship twice with Fulham and Bournemouth.
Prior to joining the Clarets, he was the manager of Belgian side Club Brugge.
OPPOSITION FOCUS | MATCHDAY ONE
Parker's side made an impressive start to the league season, claiming all three points in their opening game.
A trip to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town, who were also relegated from the Premier League last season, provided an early test.
But, the Clarets were more than up to the challenge, recording a 4-1 victory.
Josh Brownhill and Wilson Odobert saw them race into a 2-0 lead, before Dara O'Shea and Vitinho netted in the second half.
OPPOSITION FOCUS | SUMMER BUSINESS
The Clarets were busy in the transfer market over the summer, bringing in no less than seven players so far.
In the goalkeeping department, Etienne Green and Václav Hladký have been brought in from AS Saint-Étienne and Ipswich Town respectively.
The club have also strengthened their full-back options with the arrivals of Shurandy Sambo and Lucas Pires.
Having spent last season on loan at Turf Moor, both Maxime Estève and Mike Trésor have made their moves permanent, while striker Andréas Hountondji has been brought in permanently from SM Caen.
CLUB CONNECTION | TONY PHILLISKIRK
Burnley's manager at U18 level is Tony Philliskirk, who during his playing career, represented both the Bluebirds and the Clarets.
Starting his career at Sheffield United, the striker came through the ranks and broke into the Blades' first team, before also having spells at Oldham Athletic, Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers.
His debut for the latter came coincidentally came against Cardiff City in a Third Division fixture at Ninian Park.
A move to Burnley followed for Philliskirk, where he netted nine league goals in 40 appearances.
When he made his Bolton Wanderers debut at Ninian Park in June 1989, little did he know that six years later, he'd be representing the Bluebirds.
Philliskirk had a three-year spell in the Welsh capital, going on to announce his retirement in 1998.
