Loan Report 04/03/2024

Isaak Davies
We review how all of our loanees fared for their respective sides in this week’s loan report…
Joel Bagan
Bluebirds in Belgium

Isaak Davies scored for the third successive home game in KV Kortrijk’s 3-2 win against RWD Molenbeek.

Isaak opened the scoring in the seventh minute to take his goal tally to six this campaign. Abdelkahar Kadri’s double - including a decisive penalty - was enough to give Kortrijk three points, with fellow loanees Sheyi Ojo and Ryotaro Tsunoda also featuring.

Zulte Waregam came from behind to draw 1-1 against SL16. Joel Bagan featured for 45 minutes, with the result leaving Essevee fourth in the Belgian First Division.

Eli King
City players in Scotland

Malachi Fagan-Walcott started once again in Dunfermline’s 2-0 home win, lifting them above their opponents Ayr United in the Scottish Championship. Xavier Benjamin was on the bench for The Pars as they extend their unbeaten run to four games.

In the Scottish Premiership,  Eli King started in Ross County’s 2-0 loss to Hibernian. Second half strikes from Myziane Maolida and Dylan Levitt were enough to beat Don Cowie’s side. The Staggies will look for revenge as they play Hibernian again in their following game next Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Tom Davies was an unused substitute in Kilmarnock’s 2-2 draw with Dundee. Kilmarnock play next in the Scottish Club Quarter-Final next week against Aberdeen.

Andy Rinomhota
EFL Action

Andy Rinomhota played the full 90 minutes for The Millers as Sheffield Wednesday beat Rotherham 1-0, with former City players Lee Peltier also in action for the home side and Will Vaulks featuring for Wednesday, as former loanee Ike Ugbo netted the winner.

Ebou Adams also started in Derby County’s 3-0 win against Port Vale. A Louie Sibley double and a goal from Dwight Gayle was enough to keep Derby second in League One, while Port Vale remain in the relegation spots.

National League

Gateshead scored a 96th minute equaliser to draw 1-1 with Boreham Wood. Kieron Evans played 81 minutes for the home side, with the result leaving them 5th in the league with a game in hand. Meanwhile, Chanka Zimba was an unused substitute in Maindenhead’s 4-1 loss to AFC Fylde.

In the National League South, Ryan Kavanagh came off the bench in Truro City’s 2-0 win against Taunton Town. The White Tigers are now up to 18th in the league with games in hand over many of the other clubs around them on the table.
