Lily Billingham has returned to the Bluebirds, becoming our fifth signing of the summer!
The talented playmaker showed great quality during her first spell at the Club, notably scoring in a 2-0 victory over Cardiff Metropolitan University in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup final in 2022.
She was also part of the side that secured a league and cup double in the following season, before moving to Cheltenham Town.
Lily has also represented Gwalia United, prior to her return to City. She adds to the arrivals of Shannon Evans, Nieve Jenkins, Fiona Barry and Laura Curnock so far this summer.
After signing for the Club, Lily said: “I’m really excited to be back at Cardiff City. The Club have had a lot of success and I want to come back and be a part of that.
“Everyone in the squad is working hard to prepare for the Champions League and the Adran Premier season. Hopefully, it will be another successful year for us.”
Head coach Iain Darbyshire added: “I’m delighted to welcome Lily back to Cardiff City. She’s a fantastic player, technically gifted and I’m really confident that our environment will allow her to absolutely thrive and show her qualities.”
