Lamouchi post-Blackpool | Mentality, determination & desire
City boss Sabri Lamouchi spoke to the press pitchside at Bloomfield Road following our 3-1 victory on Good Friday!
"It's a massive result to come here in our situation and win against a team behind us," Sabri began. "It was a really important game for them too.
"We didn't start so well, and it was very strange. We scored three goals in the first half. We were clinical. We didn't control the game. To be honest, I'm happy with the massive result. But less happy with the performance. In our situation though, as I said to the players, it is three big points.
"I saw determination. I saw a desire to keep the result and the fight. It is really positive."
Connor Wickham, Sory Kaba and Joe Ralls all put in strong performances in the victory over the Seasiders. Lamouchi continued: "We need absolutely everybody. For our fans, for the Club and for the city.
"I'm happy for Connor. Sory gets better and better. He's helped us a lot. I'm happy with him.
"I don't know if you remember in the first week or second week I said about my captain that he's a man of the Club. Joe has a big heart. I'm so surprised about his attitude. So professional. He likes the Club. He likes Cardiff. He's unbelievable."
The Bluebirds picked up three huge points, but attention quickly turns to Monday and the remainder of a difficult month, with six more games to be played.
Sabri concluded: "We need to have some rest and then we'll think about Sunderland. It will be a tough month.
"We have a lot of games to play. We are not safe. We know that.
"To be safe, we need a lot of ingredients. We need mentality, a determination, a desire to play and fight together and that's exactly what we saw today."
