Kyle’s Goal Update | Afternoon Tea & Second Ball Date Announced
Last week, Kyle Beere joined the First Team squad at the Training Ground for a very special afternoon.
A sufferer of a rare condition called arteriovenous malformations (AVM), Kyle’s family set up ‘Kyle’s Goal’ in 2010 after discovering there were no paediatric rehabilitation centres anywhere in Wales, or the South West of England, to deal with children’s brain injuries.
Last season, the Club held a fund-raising raffle in support of Kyle’s Goal, with the opportunity to enjoy a spot of afternoon tea with Mark McGuinness and Curtis Nelson!
Our raffle winners, Jon, Isabel, and Sol, spent the day at the Vale Resort with Kyle, meeting and greeting their favourite Bluebirds before chatting with Mark and Curtis over tea and cake.
Isabel told us: “The day couldn’t have gone any better! Mark and Curtis were fabulous company and our sincerest thanks to Cardiff City for their support.
I was so pleased to have met Kyle, Kath and Kyle’s carers and look forward to seeing how I can help them build a future that best supports Kyle and others with similar needs in Wales.”
We would like to thank everybody who entered the raffle and donated to the fantastic cause that is Kyle’s Goal.
After the success of the first Sports Ball in September 2019, Kyle’s Goal are hosting a second Ball at Cardiff City Stadium on 7th October 2022 featuring special guests including Joe Ledley, Joe Calzaghe, Jamie Baulch and Sharron Davies.
