Kerry Walklett joins the Bluebirds!
Kerry Walklett has become the Bluebirds' second signing of the month, adding vast experience to the City squad.
The 28-year-old midfielder most recently played for West Bromwich Albion, who play in the FA Women's National League North.
During her impressive career so far, Kerry has also represented Oxford United, Watford, Charlton Athletic and Reading.
The midfielder is the second to join the Bluebirds this month, after goalkeeper Anna Phelps signed from Pontypridd United.
Kerry will be available for selection for this Sunday's clash against Wrexham at Cardiff City Stadium.
Upon signing for City, Kerry said: "I'm really looking forward to getting going with the team, exploring the league seeing what women's football in Wales has to offer.
"One of the things that drew me to the Club was the ambition. You can see from the outside looking in that it's a good setup. The girls are smashing it at the moment, they're top of the league and played in the Women's Champions League last summer, so I'm really excited to playing a part in hopefully being there again.
"I've played in the English leagues for so long and as a footballer, you always want new challenges. For me, this is an exciting new challenge to play in a new league and hopefully play in the Women's Champions League, it's really positive.
"The girls are doing really well already, but I feel like I can be that little player that will get on the ball in tight areas, get on the half-turn and either take on players 1v1 or play those little through balls, that's what I'm hoping I can bring to the team."
Welcome to the Club, Kerry!
