JC post-Birmingham City | We are making progress
Jamilu Collins spoke to the press following our 1-0 victory at Birmingham City.
The defender played a big part in earning a valuable clean sheet and three points, with Josh Bowler netting a second half winner.
“It was important for us and all the boys,” JC began. “When the game turns out like this, we have to face it that way and that’s what we did.
“For me, it was just about doing my job. We came here to win the game and we did.”
The Bluebirds remain 11th in the Sky Bet Championship table, with an away fixture against Millwall to follow on Saturday.
JC continued: “The manager has told us that we should get as many points as we can get until the end of the season. That’s what we want to achieve. Hopefully, we will achieve it.
“Everyone can see that we have made progress from the last few seasons. We are enjoying our football and we are all smiling in the dressing room.”
Another positive for City was a Sky Bet Championship debut for Cian Ashford, who came on as a second half substitute.
“He is a wonderful player," JC added. "I congratulated him after the game because he deserved that.
“You can see that he will have a bright future for Cardiff City. It’s a good start for him today. He is a confident guy and tonight will help him.”
