Jak Alnwick pens a new contract
We are delighted to announce that Jak Alnwick has signed a new deal with Cardiff City.
The goalkeeper's new agreement will run until the summer of 2025.
Alnwick originally joined City in 2022. The former Newcastle United man has made six appearances in all competitions for the Bluebirds this term. Jak kept a clean sheet on Saturday evening as the Bluebirds triumphed over Swansea City.
"I'm delighted," Jak said, chatting to Cardiff City TV. "It came about a few weeks ago and as soon as I heard about it I wanted to get it done. It's been quick and easy.
"I love it here. I've said it already that it's a home away from home for me. I'm Newcastle born and bred but I feel completely at home here and that's one of the reasons I wanted to stay. I can't wait to continue my life here.
"The coaches have been different class since they came in. It's been a new start and they've all been so good. A big shoutout to Mario [Galinović], of course, who is my goalkeeping coach. He's been excellent from day one.
"There's a real feel-good factor around the place and we all want to keep the positivity going."
Jak joins Rubin Colwill, Joel Colwill, Ryan Wintle, Mark McGuinness and Perry Ng in committing his future to the Club in the last six weeks.
