Isaak Davies extends stay with Cardiff City

Omer Riza, Isaak Davies
Cardiff City Football Club has exercised the one-year option in the contract of Isaak Davies, extending the striker’s stay in the Welsh capital until the summer of 2026.

A Bluebird from a young age, Isaak made the journey through the age-grade sides in the Cardiff City Academy before making his First Team debut in October 2021.

The pacey forward enjoyed a fruitful loan spell with KV Kortrijk last year before suffering a hamstring injury that kept him out of action for a large portion of the current campaign.

Now back amongst the action after making a full recovery, Isaak’s contract has been extended until the end of the 2025/26 season, which will be his fifth senior campaign with the Club.

“I’m really happy to extend my contract for another year. Isaak said. “Hopefully we can kick on now this season.

“All the boys have supported me throughout my injury. It was a long time, but I’m so glad to be back with them now. It was a long time since I played in front of those fans, and I’ve realised again just how good they are.

"It’s never nice being injured, but I stuck to the process and I’m back playing football, which is what I love.”

Omer Riza added: “I’m really pleased that Isaak is extending his stay at the Club. He’s worked very hard in recovery over the last few months and we’ve been delighted to welcome him back into the group in recent weeks.”
