The first international break for the 2021/22 season sees several Bluebirds swap out their club shirt for those of their countries. Here are the Cardiff City players selected for international duty during the September international break...
Colwill & Harris selected for Wales' World Cup Qualifiers!
With Wales returning to play their first matches since the summer's EURO 2020 competition, Rubin Colwill has once again been selected to join Rob Page's squad over the coming weeks. Kieffer Moore was also selected, but has withdrawn from the squad.
Alongside Colwill is fellow Bluebird Mark Harris, who has been called up as a replacement following player withdrawals from the squad in recent days.
Beginning their next round of fixtures with an international friendly against Finland in Helsinki, the Dragons will then continue their World Cup Qualifying campaign by journeying to Russian city Kazan, where they will face Belarus.
Returning home, on Wednesday, September 8th Wales will then host Estonia at Cardiff City Stadium, rounding out their latest international break.
Wales are currently in third place in their Group E league table, behind Belgium and the Czech Republic, and with a game in hand.

Collins continues in Republic of Ireland's World Cup Qualifying campaign
James Collins has once again been called up for his country as Republic of Ireland continue their World Cup Qualifying campaign in early September.
Two consecutive defeats in March sees the side currently sat in fourth place on the Group A table, ahead of Azerbaijan on goal difference.
The outfit will travel to face Portugal first, before then returning to host Azerbaijan and finally Serbia over the course of the week.

Ciaron Brown joins Northern Ireland's World Cup Qualifying campaign
Another Cardiff City player selected to represent his country for the 2022 World Cup Qualifying campaign is defender Ciaron Brown.
The Green and White Army have taken one point from two fixtures thus far in the campaign, in a goalless draw against Bulgaria at Windsor Park, also being defeated by European champions Italy in March.
With two competitive matches and a friendly on the cards, Northern Ireland now have the opportunity to make some ground on the table, with fixtures against Lithuania and Switzerland.

Five Bluebirds join Wales' U21 squad
Keenan Patten, Isaak Davies, George Ratcliffe, Sam Bowen and Kieron Evans have all been selected to travel with Wales' U21 side as their UEFA U21 EURO Qualifying campaign continues.
Wales' U21 side, managed by Paul Bodin, will travel to Sofia to face Bulgaria on Tuesday, September 7th. From their opening match of the campaign, the young Welsh side drew their opening fixture against Moldova 0-0.

Joel Bagan called up for Republic of Ireland's U21 side!
Having started in all of City's league matches so far this season, Joel Bagan has now been selected to play for the Republic of Ireland's U21 side, making this his first-ever international call-up!
The Boys in Green kick-off their UEFA U21 EURO Qualifying campaign in early September, facing Bosnia & Herzegovina and later Luxembourg, both of which will be away fixtures for the young internationals.

Tom Davies, Taylor Jones and Caleb Hughes get Wales U19 call-up!
Both Tom Davies and Taylor Jones have been selected for Rob Edwards' Wales U19 squad as they travel to Croatia for a mini tournament this week.
Having recently made the step up to City's U23 side, Jones has impressed in pre-season and competitively for the Bluebirds, whilst Davies has similarly impressed in recent weeks, making his competitive debut for the First Team in mid-August, playing for the full 90 minutes against Sutton United in a Carabao Cup tie.
Due to a late withdrawal from the squad, teammate Caleb Hughes has also stepped into the U19 camp for the upcoming friendlies.

Cian Ashford and Morgan Wigley selected for Wales U18
Cardiff City youngsters Cian Ashford and Morgan Wigley have both been selected to represent their country as Wales' U18 side are set to host England U18 in Newport's Spytty Park.
The young Bluebirds are set for their fixture on Friday, September 3rd, with Wigley brought in as a late addition following a withdrawal from the squad earlier in the week.

Lily Billingham represents Wales U17!
With Wales Women's U17 squad playing their first match since 2019 last week, City's own Lily Billingham was in the starting lineup as Wales took on England in an international friendly.
Under the management of former Wales international Loren Dykes, Wales' U17 side drew 1-1 against England U17 at St George's Park, Staffordshire on Friday, August 27th.
Lily was the latest Bluebird to represent Wales in a Women's side, and one of nine in the international squad playing club football for a side in the Adran Leagues.
