Andy continues Zimbabwe progress

Andy Rinomhota has once again been selected to represent the Zimbabwe national side as they continue their quest for FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualification.

The Warriors are looking for their first win in Group C of the CAF Qualifiers, and will face Benin and Nigeria during the March international window.

Andy made his Zimbabwe debut in November 2023, and will be aiming to earn his 10th international cap over the coming days.

Cian selected for Young Dragons

Cian Ashford was named in Matty Jones' Wales U21 squad for their friendly double-header in Valencia, Spain.

The young Welshmen face Andorra and Sweden in their two fixtures this month, in preparation for the upcoming 2027 UEFA U21 EURO Qualifying campaign.

Also named in the squad is fellow City youngster Joel Colwill, currently out on loan in League One with Exeter City.

Alves in England Elite League action

Will Alves was named in England's Elite League squad (formerly U20s) for their March double header.

Alves and the Young Lions will travel to face Portugal in their first game of the month in the Euro Elite League before a friendly against Switzerland, held in Spain.

Will has featured three times for the Elite League/U20 side previously, scoring on his debut back in June 2024.

Six young Bluebirds selected for Wales U19

Luke Armstrong, Luey Giles, Dylan Lawlor, Dakarai Mafico, Troy Perrett and Cody Twose were all named in the Wales U19 squad for their upcoming matches.

Former Bluebird Chris Gunter's squad will take on Portugal, England and Turkey in the 2025 UEFA U19 EURO Qualifying Elite Round.

All three fixtures will be hosted in North Wales, with a place in the Finals, taking place in Romania this summer, up for grabs.
