Harris pre-Huddersfield | We want to back up our last performance
Ahead of Saturday's trip to the John Smith's Stadium, City forward Mark Harris spoke to the press to preview the Bluebirds' meeting with the Terriers.
Sparky began by reflecting upon Tuesday night's away victory over Middlesbrough, where he scored his first goal of the season.
“I’m very happy with the goal that I scored the other night,” said Harris. “It’s been a few games coming now, but to get the first one of the season is great for me and for the team as well.
“Of course, the more we score, the better chance we’ve got to win the game, and hopefully that continues.
“It’s a striker’s job to score goals, and that’s what I want to be doing for the football club. Let’s hope that a few more can come now!"
Starting alongside teammate Callum Robinson on Tuesday, Mark commented on the new strike partnership, as he looks to continue his progress within the side.
“I’ve loved playing with Callum," Sparky explained. "Tuesday was our first game together where we played as a two, and in the first half we showed what we can bring.
“The players that have come in have joined to match the system which we want to play. We’re all happy with that way of playing, and we just need to add those goals now and get a few more wins on the board.
“Hopefully I can back Tuesday’s performance up this weekend, whether I’m given the chance to start or if I’m on the bench. Every time you step onto the pitch, you’re given the chance to put the marker down.
“On Saturday we'll go out there looking for another win, and another goal for myself!"
