Harris post-Coventry | We're all pushing each other
Following City's 2-0 victory over the Sky Blues on Tuesday night, Mark Harris spoke to the press to discuss the result.
Having come on as a substitute in the second half, Sparky helped the Bluebirds onto their third consecutive home victory with a late goal to double the lead at CCS.
“It’s bouncing in the changing room at the minute,” began Mark. “We’ve won four league matches from the last five, and three on the bounce at home. Confidence is high and we’re loving it.
“We feel like we’re playing well and getting better each time. Let’s hope it continues."
Speaking of the efforts made by the squad in training, Harris praised the efforts of his teammates to continue their good run of form despite a busy period of fixtures, also discussing his own experience from the last few weeks.
“There’s a lot of competition up top for a place in the side, so you can’t take your foot off the pedal." Mark continued. "You’ve got to show what you can do every day in training, then taking the opportunity when you get it with both hands.
“It’s a group of good lads that we’ve got in the squad, including those who came in last month. We’re all pushing each other on in training and on the pitch, it’s healthy for us and good for the team.
“I played Saturday and wanted to keep going into as many games as possible. I got my head down and kept training as hard as I could, which hopefully I can keep taking into the games.”
