Hannah Power named City Women Player of the Month for November
Hannah Power has been named Cardiff City Women’s Player of the Month for November.
Voted by the fans, Hannah accumulated 50% of the votes in the poll.
The centre-back has played a huge part in a solid City defence this season, as well as finding the net in a Bute Energy Welsh Cup victory over Swansea University.
Right-back Lisa Owen and striker Mackenzie Olden were also nominated following their contributions to a positive campaign so far.
Commenting on winning the accolade, Hannah said: "I’m so grateful to have won Player of the Month. It means a lot because our squad is stronger than ever before, so anyone is a deserving winner.
"I’m very humbled to have won it. I’m so thankful for the fans, my family and friends who voted for me and without them, it wouldn’t have been possible."
Head coach Iain Darbyshire added: “Hannah had a great month in November and we’re really pleased for her to be named Player of the Month. She contributed with some brilliant performances as she has done all season and got herself on the scoresheet against Swansea University. Our defensive record has been so important to our positive start to the season and Hannah has played a big part in that.
"Lisa and Mackenzie were both fully deserving of their nominations and they have since continued to play well for us, so they also deserve a lot of credit.”
