Grant pre-Stoke City | There's more to come
Karlan Grant spoke to the press ahead of our Sky Bet Championship fixture against Stoke City on Saturday.
The Bluebirds head into the match after back-to-back victories over Huddersfield Town and Bristol City.
“It’s going well, the camp is really positive,” Karlan began. “We’ve been working hard, the manager has come in and has been really good to us.
"The fans have been excellent as well. I think you can see the drive and the passion from the players in each game, it’s been really good.
“When I spoke to the manager before coming here, he knew me as a player and wanted to integrate me into the squad. I’ve known the players now for a while and I’m really enjoying it.
“I wanted to play games. I’m not the kind of player to sit around and wait out my contract - I wanted to come here, play and prove myself. I’ve definitely got more to come.”
Saturday’s opponents have won their last three fixtures, claiming victories over Sunderland, Leeds United and Middlesbrough.
The Potters currently sit 11th in the Championship table, four points behind the Bluebirds.
Karlan continued: “They’re going to be good. Away from home is always tough. We just need to play our game and play with the intensity that we know we can, and hopefully get the three points.
“The support is massive. Every game we play now, we feel like we’re going to get three points and put in a good performance.”
Since joining the Club in the summer on loan from West Bromwich Albion, the winger has caught the eye with his hard work off the ball.
“I pride myself on that,” Karlan added. “I’m enjoying the challenge. Every game has been so different, but it’s always important to help your teammates out. Me doing that is my job, so it shouldn’t be anything less than that.
“In terms of togetherness, we really do get on as a group. That helps massively in any successful team. The gaffer has brought that since he’s come in. We’re doing a great job and just need to continue.”
