Grant post-Sheffield Wednesday | You saw the togetherness
After scoring City's equaliser in a 2-1 win at Hillsborough, Karlan Grant spoke to the media.
"It was important that we got back on track. It was a tough game, they made it hard for us. But you saw the belief in the team and we managed to get the win at the end. I'm delighted.
"You saw the togetherness - we kept pulling through for each other. It wasn't going our way so much on the ball, but you saw the celebrations with our fans. It was a great feeling.
"The gaffer wanted me to go into the middle of the park, try and make a few runs in behind and get on the ball, and I thought I did that. Luckily enough, I got the space to get the shot off.
"I've played in the 10, out wide and at number 9. I think he felt that we needed a bit of pace in the middle, and I thought I brought that."
Karlan commented on the nature of the match, which swung in City's favour with two late goals.
"Apart from the Hull game and at Southampton, we've always really been in every game we've played so far; it's always been tight.
"All of us were really grafting, and we got our one opportunity, and then it changes. Then we managed to flip it and get the second goal, so I'm just grateful. That's the Championship for you!
"I think we've achieved a lot this season. A lot of new players have come in, and we're all fighting for each other. It's a great win today, and now we can enjoy our Christmas with our loved ones before a big one on Boxing Day."
