Abercynon named Kids Cup champions…
170 teams from 114 primary schools across South Wales took part in this year’s EFL Trust Utilita Football Kids Cup in partnership with New Directions Education.
In the biggest Kids Cup yet, YGG Abercynon came out victorious and will now represent Cardiff City FC at the regional finals in Reading later this year.
Bluebirds Charity named finalists…
Cardiff City FC Community Foundation has been chosen as a finalist in two different categories at this year’s Cardiff Life Awards.
Named as finalists in both ‘Charity of the Year’ and ‘Civic of the Year’, the Bluebirds Charity has been recognised for our work with children, young people and families across the capital.
Sports Clubs Supporting Veterans…
Our first ‘Sports Club Supporting Veterans’ meeting of 2020 took place last week, as we work with other organisations to strengthen our support networks for Veterans and ex-Armed Forces personnel.
Hosted by Everton in the Community, we were joined by Moving Forces UK, AFC Fylde, Oldham Athletic Community Trust and Wigan Athletic Community Trust as we shared best practice methods.

The Foundation is continuing our commitment to provide sporting opportunities for schools across South Wales as we hosted our first tournament at Merthyr Town FC.
14 teams from primary schools in the Cardiff and RCT areas took part, as we support children and young people to live healthier, more active lives.
