Foundation Round-Up | Kids Cup Qualifiers & Take on a Challenge!
Read up on the latest updates from Cardiff City FC Foundation...
Kids Cup Qualifiers begin…
The qualifying stages for the EFL Trust and Utilita Football Kids Cup in partnership with New Directions Education opened last week, with over 70 teams travelling to Cardiff International Sports Campus to take part.
With three days of qualifiers yet to play, the eventual winners will represent Cardiff City FC at the regional finals later this year.
Two special guests…
The Bluebirds Charity welcomed two very special guests to Cardiff City Stadium as the Bluebirds took on Swansea City.
Darlington and Aliyah were both rewarded with mascot positions after showing endeavour and passion towards their work on the Primary Stars Project, which works with children aged 5-11 with their reading, writing and life skills.
Working together to support mental health
Our first session of the ‘Dads and Football’ mental health project took place last week, as we work with the Mental Health Foundation and Cardiff University to support Dads with young children.
Dads are able to spend time sharing their experiences with researchers about their introduction into fatherhood whilst also taking part in physical activity to support positive mental and physical wellbeing.
Take on a challenge this year!
The Foundation is looking for fitness fanatic Bluebirds to represent us at a number of events this year, and to raise money to support children, young people and families achieve their full potential.
Spaces for events such as the Cardiff Bay 10K and Cardiff University Cardiff Half Marathon are limited, and you’ll receive a Bluebirds running jersey when you sign up!
