Etete post-Stoke City | We really dug deep today
Kion Etete netted the opener in City's 2-1 victory over Stoke City, and spoke to Cardiff City TV after the full time whistle.
"It's been a long time coming." Kion began. "We've been working hard on the training ground, so it has finally paid off. Hopefully we can kick on and take this momentum.
"We were really digging deep. Obviously we had the game in the week, and everyone was tired. It was starting to drag out but we did well.
"It felt good to finally get a goal again and to get back going. It's been tough for us really, getting opportunities and chances, but we really dug deep today."
Kion opened the scoring at CCS after just five minutes, heading home from a Joe Ralls corner to net his third Championship goal of the season.
He continued, "I think it's a case of just keeping doing what I do, and the goals will come. That's what the gaffer and all the coaches keep saying to me - keep playing well and keep working hard.
"We are working on stuff every day really, so I am bound to improve season on season, game after game."
