Erol pre-Leeds United | It's perfect to be back
Erol Bulut spoke to the press ahead of the Bluebirds' Sky Bet Championship clash against Leeds United on Saturday.
The City boss has returned to training after missing the Sheffield Wednesday fixture due to illness.
"It’s perfect to be back in work again on the field." Erol began. "One week was really hard after the QPR game, I got a bit sick. It was a bit more of a sickness than normal, there is a virus going around and it caught me, but now I am doing much better than I was before.
"The first few days are always good to be back in work again, and preparing now for the Leeds game at the weekend."
The Whites currently sit fourth in the Sky Bet Championship table, having recorded a 3-0 win over Birmingham City in their last league match.
In the reverse fixture at Elland Road, the Bluebirds were held to a 2-2 draw on the opening day of the campaign.
Erol continued: "Of course, it will be a tough game against Leeds. We know about their quality. But, of course, we will not hide on Saturday. We will try to give our best on Saturday on the field to get points.
"The first game in Leeds was a good game for us. We had a good start over there, we could have won. We lost two points in the 96th minute, this is football. Saturday will be a different game.
"Now, the teams know each other a little bit better, what they are playing offensively, what they are doing defensively. I hope that we can manage it well, to have a win or at least a point, where we can show that we will do everything to take points here.
"These kind of games for players are always good. Players in big games, they give more percent to show themselves on the field, to have the win, to try to win that game, because it is a special game. They are always good to have a win."
Erol concluded by providing an injury update on the First Team squad.
"With Callum O’Dowda, he was starting with us and then he got a small injury. Because of the injury that he had, it can happen. The specialist said it can happen, and it happened to him. It looks like it will be six weeks until he will be back playing. We are not lucky with this.
"Aaron [Ramsey] I think in the next week to ten days, he will start with us. He is doing well and I hope that he can continue with no problems and he can be in the team. We are on a small line, so it can always happen that the injury comes back again and the season is finished for the players. We have to calculate that right now.
“Two players, Ramsey and O’Dowda are very important players for us. We can see on the field when you speak about our expected goals, it is down a little bit. Those two players help us a lot in the offensive part to create and to finalise.
"Karlan Grant was training with us yesterday and today, so he looks ok for the weekend."
