Erol post-Sunderland | We have to pick ourselves up
Erol Bulut spoke to the Media after Cardiff City’s 2-0 loss to Sunderland at cardiff city stadium.
“Everything was fine until the 12th minute where we conceded the goal, but after that, we lost a bit of confidence.” Erol began. “Our playing shape we couldn’t hold, which makes me disappointed.
“We couldn’t get back into the game. Duels were lost and individual mistakes were made. We cannot expect to win the game when you make as many mistakes as we did.”
“I was disappointed as during the international break these last ten days, we trained really well. I was expecting a different game from us and we were ready. To see this performance today, it hurts.”
Next up for the Bluebirds is a clash against Coventry City on Easter Monday at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Erol continued: "The team had confidence going into today, but we know how to wake up again. We did it before and I hope we make it quick because Monday, we play again against Coventry.”
City are now 11th in the Sky Bet Championship table, with three home matches and four away fixtures remaining of the campaign.
"I said when the players came in, we cannot be comfortable," Erol added. "We have 53 points, we still have seven games to play.”
“We have to try to get as many points as we can. Everybody has to fight back off of this performance. We have to try our best in the last seven games for the fans first of all, and for the Club."
