Erol post-Rotherham United | The support has been great all season long
Erol Bulut spoke to the press following our final day defeat to Rotherham United.
“First of all, I thank the fans a lot,” Erol began. “They have supported not only me, but the team in a great way, away and at home. Today, also even with this result, they have been great all season long.”
The Bluebirds fought back early in the second period, with Ollie Tanner finding an equaliser, but the hosts were clinical to claim all three points.
Erol continued: “Defensively, we were not good, but the referee also did not have a good day today. Early in the second half, when we came back to 2-2, the third goal was a foul on David Turnbull and the fourth one is not a penalty.
“We tried to come back, it was good how we started, but the chances that we created, we have to finalise better and have higher concentration. Offensively, I cannot say many things, because we had the chances, but against the ball, that was not at the level we were expecting.”
City finish the campaign 12th in the Sky Bet Championship table, having accumulated 13 more points than last season’s tally.
“I believe here that we can build much better things here,” Erol added. “Of course, we have to improve many things. Our youngsters, they have done well. In a few areas, we have to build and improve, but not only one person, we have to do it together.”
