Erol post-Penybont | I'm satisfied with the performance

Interviews
Erol Bulut spoke to Cardiff City TV after the Bluebirds produced an accomplished performance to defeat Penybont FC in a pre-season friendly.

"It could be more, but I am happy with seven goals." Erol began. "This shows that we have added a little bit to our game style.

"It is important to create these chances and to score these chances. Last season, we didn't have that so much. So, I'm satisfied with the performance of the two 45 minutes.

"We try to manage it so we have many players in the box when the cross or pass is coming. But we have to take care about the defence.

"In the second half, we played mostly with the youngsters. But, they showed that we can use some of them during the season. They are close, and this makes me happy."

Ronan Kpakio, Callum Robinson, Kion Etete

Erol commented on the fine performance of right back Ronan Kpakio, reaffirming his commitment to giving young players a First Team opportunity.

"We saw him here last season in a game, with an eye on him. We used him today, and he looks like he will be a great player. He was a little bit nervous, but with two assists, it's very good. I hope he continues like this.

"It's up to each player. For me, the door is open to every player. We need all the players who deliver the performance we want from them. We have to rotate - we have 46 league games plus Cup games.

"Last season we didn't have a big squad, but this season I think we will have enough players to deliver the football we expect, and the football that the supporters expect."

The boss concluded with a look ahead to our upcoming trip to Austria, with three difficult opponents awaiting the Bluebirds on the continent.

"Today, the first half was good. In the second half, we made two or three mistakes, but this is okay. We still have time to work on small details.

"I think Austria will be a real test for us. We face three good teams - Hamburg, Hertha Berlin, and the South African champion (Mamelodi Sundowns). It will be tough."
