Erol post-Leeds United | We have to show more fighting spirit
EROL BULUT SPOKE TO THE MEDIA FOLLOWING CARDIFF CITY’S 3-0 HOME DEFEAT AGAINST LEEDS UNITED.
“We know about the strong side of Leeds United, but my players respected the opponent too much today.
“We have to show more fighting spirit and try more to score. You can lose games sometimes, but you have to fight and try your best on the field.
”We had too many individual mistakes. The first two goals, if you make these kinds of mistakes against an opponent with good players, they will punish you and they did.”
The gaffer quickly turned his attention to our upcoming January fixtures, and also provided an update on the fitness of Joe Ralls, who was withdrawn in the first half.
“For us, it’s very important for us to take as many points as possible. We are now on 37 points, still have 19 games to play, so enough points to collect, but of course with a better performance than what we showed today.
“He [Ralls] felt something with his groin. He was also a little bit injured before the game with his knee, so he only trained twice this week. We will have to see how big of a problem it is.”
