Erol Bulut on the touchline for Cardiff City

Erol post-Huddersfield Town | Winning brings confidence

Interviews
City boss Erol Bulut spoke to the press after Cardiff City’s 1-0 win against Huddersfield Town.

It was a third straight victory for the Bluebirds, adding to wins over Stoke City and Bristol City.

Reflecting on the evening's match, Erol began: “The last four games I’m happy with how we have been performing. I said, four games before that these are the games to get our confidence back, to think and be positive. The team is doing well, congratulations to the players. And today also, a good performance from the team after the Bristol City win.

"Sometimes, after a derby, you feel a little bit comfortable and our team today was really working hard and was really good to create sessions, first half to create chances, and scored a nice goal and this time not from a set-piece!

“If you win games, you will always feel much, much better and try much more. So the last few games, we got our confidence back. I hope the last 10 games we can show more of this.

“We will take it game by game and at the end we will see what we get. There are 30 points available and we try to get the maximum and for this we will have to work hard."

A single goal separated the two teams tonight, with a well made move paying off for Bulut's Bluebirds.

"It was good playing out from the back," Erol added. "It was a good switch from the left to the right, and a good assist from Josh Bowler.

"With Famara he was expecting to play the last game, against his old team. We didn’t use him that way and it was a good decision now I think. He was angry he didn’t play and, I understand.

"I kept him for today., but he gave it back with a goal. We don’t have forget he played four years in the Championship and scored more than 50 goals, so he has the experience. Maybe the last one and a half years weren't what he was expecting, but he can show it again. It was a good start and I hope the rest of the games he can continue like that."
