Doyle post-Peterborough | We're in a good place

Interviews
Tommy Doyle spoke to Cardiff City TV after starring in the Bluebirds' 4-0 victory over Peterborough United on Wednesday evening, giving his thoughts on a fantastic team performance at CCS.

"These games can be quite difficult, but we used the home advantage with the fans behind us, and we played some good stuff today.

"Obviously, four goals is really important, and like anything, three points is massive for us. We just need to keep building, and keep winning.

"We're getting that winning mentality now within the group, we're working hard on the training pitch and we're bringing it onto the pitch now."

The 20-year-old went on to talk about his combination in the middle of the park alongside Joe Ralls and Ryan Wintle, and also commented on his pre-existing relationship with fellow loanee Cody Drameh.

"It's very good. I think as a team we're enjoying it at the moment, and we're in a good place. With us in the midfield, I think we complement each other quite well.

"Cody and I have played together with the England youth teams, so we know each others games - I know his strengths, and he knows mine. We like to think we work well together, especially if we keep progressing.

"I think when we work well as a team, individuals shine. As a team we were brilliant, and then individuals could start enjoying themselves, and that's what it's about."

The midfielder concluded with a look forward to our upcoming fixtures, and also expressed his happiness towards his time in the Welsh capital thus far.

"The games coming up are exciting for us. You want to play in these big games as a player, and enjoy it with the fans. Wherever we go, whether it's home or away, the main objective is three points.

"I love it here, it's brilliant. Everyone has welcomed me really well, and I'm feeling very comfortable. The main thing is that I enjoy it on the pitch, and I am enjoying it. The lads have been brilliant with me, so long may it continue."
