Done Deal | Mahlon Romeo joins the Bluebirds
The Bluebirds are excited to welcome Mahlon Romeo to the Club, subject to clearance.
The right-sided defender has joined from Millwall for an undisclosed fee, penning a three-year deal.
Romeo played alongside City boss Steve Morison during his time with the Lions. Overall, he spent seven years at the Den.
In 2021/22, the Antiguan international appeared 35 times in the league on loan with League One side Portsmouth.
Speaking about signing for the Bluebirds, Mahlon said: “I’ve played in Cardiff a fair few times. I’m excited to play here actually for Cardiff City.
"Every time I’ve been here it has been loud and it’s a lovely stadium. I can't wait to get going.”
City boss Steve Morison added: “Obviously, I know Mahlon really well. I was with him when he came through, when he was a young pup. For me this is a perfect move for him.
“He’s going to bring bags of athleticism, real quality on the ball, and I can’t wait to see him galloping up the touchline.”
Welcome to CCS, Mahlon!
Mahlon's agreement sees City bring in a second right-back of the day, following on from the earlier capture of Vontae Daley-Campbell.
