Cardiff City FC Community Foundation HostS Futsal Cup Final for Partner Primary Schools

On Friday, eight primary schools from South Wales were invited to compete in a Year 5/6 Futsal Tournament at House of Sport.

Bryn Deri Primary School emerged victorious in the girls' category, while Pontyclun Primary School won the mixed competition.

Their Primary Education provision aims to change the lives of primary school children through the power of sport – helping to improve their physical activity while developing their confidence and self-esteem.

Veterans Hub celebrate Armed Forces Day

On 29th June, Cardiff City FC Community Foundation Veterans Hub hosted a picnic with some of their members and families to celebrate Armed Forces Day 2024 at Cosmeston Lakes.

They enjoyed good weather, food and a walk around the lakes, followed by a fun quiz, all in great company!

The Armed Forces Veterans Hub is a social isolation project that supports Armed Forces Veterans who are at high risk of social isolation and loneliness. The project uses the power of Cardiff City FC to connect and support veterans around Cardiff to reduce social isolation and loneliness and improve physical and mental wellbeing.

Veterans across South Wales can access organised day trips and events, morning stadium walks and weekly activities helping to maintain Cardiff City FC's Memorial Garden. Learn more here.

Showcasing Community Initiatives at Tafwyl Festival

Over the weekend, volunteers and members of the Post-16 Education team at the Community Foundation showcased their projects and initiatives at the Tafwyl Festival, an annual Welsh-language festival that took place at Bute Park.
