City trio Jac Thomas, Ronan Kpakio and Jake Davies will gain further international experience this month, competing in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
Having a big part in their qualification, the side will begin their campaign tomorrow against Denmark.
Ahead of the clash, we caught up with defender Thomas.
"Preparation has gone well," Jac began. "We've settled in well in Cyprus and we're really looking forward to the first game against Denmark.
"All the boys are confident. We all fancy our chances to do well. The first game is going to set the tone for the tournament, so we want to get off to a good start. We can't wait to get out there now."
As well as Denmark, Wales' U17s will also take on Austria on May 23rd and Croatia on May 26th.
The side also qualified for the competition in 2023, where they claimed a notable 3-0 win over Poland.
Jac continued: "It's all about getting the three points in tournament football. We have to have that mentality of going out to win.
"You want to set the tone and put yourself in a good place going into the rest of the tournament. If we can get off to a winning start, it takes a bit of pressure off in the second and third game."
While the Wales U17 are a closely-knit squad, Jac also has City teammates Kpakio and Davies alongside him on camp.
The left-back concluded: "Having other boys from Cardiff City helps. I know how they play and how they are off the field as well. We're close as a group and that has shown on the pitch with the results we had in qualifying.
"It's nice to have some familiar faces from club level, but meeting new people and being able to work with them is also good for us as players.
"It's always been my dream to play at this level. Having this experience when I go back to Cardiff City, it will put me in the right direction for my development."
