City Women add Manon Pearce to their squad
The Bluebirds have strengthened their ranks with an eye on the 2022/23 Adran Premier’s Championship Phase.
Exciting talent Manon Pearce joins from fellow Adran Premier side Barry Town United.
At international level, she is a teammate of City players Emily Roberts, Megan Bowen, Hollie Smith, Lily Billingham and Phoebie Poole.
Manon made her first appearance for the Bluebirds in City’s final game of Phase One against The New Saints, coming on as a second-half substitute. So far this season, the 18-year-old has found the net on two occasions, whilst producing some impressive performances for the Linnets.
Upon signing for the Bluebirds, Manon commented: “I am very excited to have joined Cardiff City and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve as a team this season.
“It’s a great opportunity to work with the players and I can’t wait to see how we do in Phase Two. I’m motivated to play well and win trophies with this team.”
After adding to his squad, head coach Iain Darbyshire added: "I am delighted to welcome Manon to the club. She is a player we have tracked for over a year and when the opportunity arose this January, it was one we couldn't miss.
“Manon has played in the Adran Premier for the last two seasons, whilst also representing Wales U17 & U19 teams, so she has a lot of experience for someone so young. We expect her to hit the ground running and be a key member of our squad as we begin Phase Two.”
Great to have you with us, Manon!
