Calum Chambers spoke to Cardiff City TV after Saturday’s victory over Plymouth Argyle.
“I think we’ve been working hard,” Chambers began. “So I feel it was coming, off the back of the recent results we've had and the performances we've put in, so it's nice that everything's fallen into place today.”
“We put in the work at the training ground on our defensive shape as a team and how we can hurt teams going forward and positions we pick up, so it's nice to see it all come together.
“Our performances as well, they've been really positive of late. So, we've just got to keep going, keep working hard and keep pushing now.”
The Bluebirds are on a good run of recent form, having won their two most recent home fixtures and now stand unbeaten in three matches.
“The results haven't been great since I've been here, it has been tough,” said Calum. “But I think as a team, everyone stuck together really well, and I think it's showing now.
“We're strong, we’re together and we're working for each other, I think that's the most important thing. Me and Dimi [Dimitrios Goutas], we have put in a few good performances now, and it's feeling good.”
“Yeah, we've got a really good squad here. We've got great players in every position. And we're seeing that now.
“Some players are injured, some players are coming in and putting in great shifts and that's what you need. You need a good squad, if you want to be pushing.”
Next up is a midweek clash with newly-promoted Portsmouth at Cardiff City Stadium, which Calum sees as an opportunity to back up recent performances.
Chambers concluded: “I’m looking forward to it and that's the nice thing when you put in a good performance like that, we're ready and hungry to play again on Tuesday.
“We want to get another win and feel like that again.”
