1976-77
The 1976-77 season was a demanding one for Cardiff City as the Club battled relegation from Division 2 for much of the season, and it would be the three points won from their last three games that allowed them to pull clear and finish their campaign in a safe 18th place.
With the maverick Robin Friday in the team, Jimmy Andrews' side enjoyed some notable results in cup competitions including an FA Cup Third Round victory over Spurs. The European Cup Winners Cup campaign - always a season highlight for the Bluebirds - was ended by the Soviets of Dynamo Tbilisi.
1992-93
Championship success for Cardiff City this season as coach Eddie May led the Club to the Division Three title and promotion to the third tier of the English game.
This was an exciting team featuring the striking talents of League top scorer Chris Pike and his main partner in attack, Carl Dale, aided by the up-and-coming youngster Nathan Blake.
Adding some much needed solidity and top level experience to the team was Everton legend Kevin Ratcliffe in what would be his solitary season in South Wales.
