Cardiff City FC will be supporting ‘Play Safe’ – an FA-led campaign to raise awareness of the importance of safeguarding in football – at Saturday’s fixture against Burnley.
Play Safe is football’s national campaign to focus attention on the vital importance of safeguarding in our national game.
The campaign is officially supported by the NSPCC as well as the Premier League, EFL, Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship. It’s also being backed by every other level of the game across England.
Cardiff City’s own safeguarding policies are easy to find on our official site. Click here to view now.

Cardiff City FC’s Head of Safeguarding, Rob Cronick, added: “The focus of this year’s Play Safe campaign is to highlight the vital role that parents and carers play in football.
“Without their commitment, enthusiasm and assistance, many children and adults at risk would not be able to take advantage of our Club activities. Parents and carers are, without doubt, one of our greatest assets!
“To support our parents and carers in recognising the differences between best practice and poor practice and help them understand how to report concerns quickly and effectively, the FA have designed an online safeguarding module specifically for them to help make informed choices about the football setting their child is enrolled in.
This free training is fully supported by Cardiff City and can be accessed here.
