Cardiff City FC Community Foundation welcomes first ever Academy Ambassadors

Cardiff City FC Community Foundation is proud to announce their first ever Cardiff City FC Academy Ambassadors for the 2024/25 season.

We’re delighted to confirm Dakarai Mafico and Corey Foggarty have been added to the ambassador lineup, both committed to supporting the Community Foundation’s impactful work and engaging with our beneficiaries.

Dakarai joined the Academy at just eight years old and recently signed his first professional contract. Known for his caring and compassionate nature, he’s always eager to help others.

Corey joined at 16 from Cambrian United, bringing a strong, hardworking spirit. He’s a fantastic presence among staff and players, always striving to be his best.

Dakarai said: “I'm really happy to be given the chance to become the Academy’s Community Foundation ambassador. I want to make a change in the community and put smiles on people’s faces.”

Corey stated: “I am excited to be an ambassador for the Community Foundation and can’t wait to work with the local community. Hopefully I can gain some new skills and improve on the ones I have already gained throughout my time at the Club."

Dakarai and Corey will use their skills and gain valuable experience across their health, education and outreach projects, helping to raise the profile of the life-changing programmes that make a difference in communities across South Wales.
