Bluebirds back 2024 Play Safe campaign

Club News
Tuesday night's match against Millwall is Cardiff City’s designated Play Safe fixture, as the Club backs the FA-led national safeguarding campaign.

For the Play Safe campaign, football across the country joins forces to promote awareness of the importance of safeguarding across the game we all love.

Once again Play Safe is endorsed by leading children’s charity the NSPCC and will see a huge range of activity across the nation, fuelled by the encouragement and resources The FA provides.

Sue Ravenlaw, The FA Head of Safeguarding says: “The central push behind this year’s Play Safe campaign is to create awareness among individuals of the vital safeguarding role they can play in football. It really is about Everyone Everywhere, Every Time.”

Rob Cronick, Head of Safeguarding at Cardiff City FC, added: “As well as fully supporting the FA’s Play Safe Campaign, we at Cardiff City are taking this opportunity to launch our long-term Safeguarding Strategy for 2024–2027.

"The focus of this strategy will be to provide a safe environment for all our participants and stakeholders whilst they enjoy a positive experience at our Club activities.

"Our key message for all staff, participants, parents and guardians is to ‘Make Every Contact Count’ whilst ensuring that it is acknowledged that ‘Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility!’
