Bacuna | It is up to us
Cardiff City midfielder Leandro Bacuna spoke with the press via video link on Thursday ahead of the trip to Middlesbrough.
The Curaçao international has featured in all seven matches for the Bluebirds since football returned in late June.
“During lockdown it was about getting focused, staying fit and getting ready for when we could come back,” Leandro began. “Since we’ve been back, we’ve been aiming on getting into the play-offs.
“If we beat Middlesbrough, we’ll put ourselves in a good place.
“Now, it is up to us to stay in the top six.”
Match Pass | Boro vs. City
This weekend, Neil Harris’ side come up against former Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock. Warnock took over at Boro on June 23rd, helping his new team pick up nine points from six matches to date. He also recruited Leandro Bacuna for City in January 2019.
“It will be nice playing against someone who signed me,” Leandro continued. “I’m not really thinking about that a lot though. Right now, it is all about us.
“It is all about us as a team trying to stick together. We need to work hard and try and get the win.”
