City's match winner Cian Ashford was selected as the Man of the Match by host broadcasters, BBC Radio Wales.
"We're all buzzing in the changing room," said Cian following the conclusion of the match. "That is what we came here to do. We came here to perform and get our name in the hat for the next round.
"I missed a chance last year in the FA Cup, so I'm really glad to get my first goal in this competition.
"Omer [Riza] makes it clear what he wants. We try and stick together as a team, demand standards of each other, and aim to get the results for this Club.
"The last few games it feels like we're building momentum as a team. We had to come here tonight and aim to continue that. We're all delighted we've managed to do so.
"We will take that now into the next busy week. We'll take every game as they come but we want to continue moving forward."
