The Bluebirds are delighted to announce the arrival of midfielder Amy Long from Barry Town United.
Amy brings a wealth of experience of the Adran Premier and UEFA Women’s Champions League, having previously had a successful spell at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
The 27-year-old also represented Gwalia United, before returning to the Welsh top-flight with Barry Town United at the start of this season.
Amy will be eligible to make her first appearance for the Club in our fixture against Barry Town United on Thursday evening. She will wear number 22.
Upon signing for the Bluebirds, Amy said: “I’m really pleased to sign for Cardiff City. It was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down and I can’t wait to get going. It’s an exciting time to be joining and I’m looking forward to representing the Club.”
Head coach Iain Darbyshire added: “We’re delighted to bring Amy to the Club. She brings a lot of quality, experience and we’re excited to be working with her. We’re going into a crucial period of the season now with a very strong squad and some players coming back from injury; Amy will add to that quality and I’m sure she will be an important player for us going forward.”
