Allsop pre-Reading | We’ll take each game as it comes
Ahead of City's trip to face Reading on Saturday afternoon, Ryan Allsop spoke to the assembled press to preview the fixture.
Having shone during his debut at CCS on Saturday, the 'keeper discussed the bond within the squad, and the developments that the side are working on both on and off the pitch.
"It feels like we're all a part of a new team," began Ryan. "Sometimes it can be difficult, but I think as we showed on Saturday we've gelled really well.
"The group has really bonded well and connected on more of a personal side with some of the activities we did on pre-season tour in Scotland.
“That helps, and goes a long way into getting to know each other more personally. It ultimately helps connections on the pitch, and I think that we showed that against Norwich.
"It's important that we carry that on. It's still only one game gone, so we're looking forward to hopefully keeping on improving and showing what we can do."
With Saturday's match fast approaching, Allsop continued by explaining the team's approach to facing the Royals on the back of an impressive opening day victory.
"I think that we've put a marker down for how we want to be," said Ryan. "The morale in the dressing room is high.
"We don't want to get carried away with ourselves; we'll take each game as it comes, and we've got a very tough game to look forward to against Reading this Saturday."
