City had the first chance of the afternoon, with defender Evans into the action inside the opening three minutes, as her header flew just over the woodwork. The breakthrough came with just 12 minutes on the clock, as Price’s dangerous corner found its way straight into the net.

The Bluebirds found joy from set-pieces and doubled the lead in the 26th minute, as Evans’ header was cleared off the line, before Olden was on-hand to head the ball home.

Darbyshire’s side managed the game well in the second period, with the hosts’ only clearcut chance coming with seven minutes remaining. As the ball looked to be heading in, Evans continued her brilliant performance by clearing off the line, ensuring the three points for City.

Next up for the Bluebirds is a home clash against Wrexham on March 9th, 2025, 2pm KO.
