Cardiff City FC would like to thank several grassroots clubs and organisations for their efforts as we announce that the Academy has now registered 16 new players for its U9 side.
The hard work put in by this batch of young players has been matched by that of the clubs, Soccer Schools and Advanced Development Centres who produced them, all of which are based in the South Wales and Bristol areas.
Sourcing players through the Academy’s established system, it is thanks to the endeavours of local organisations and scouts alike that this group will begin their journey with the Academy.
With this most recent group of young Bluebirds having joined the youth setup, Academy Head of Coaching David Hughes praised the efforts made.
“Grassroots football is fundamental in young children loving sport," said David. "Our role is to ensure we continue to provide a stimulating learning experience for each and every child with the love for football burning brightly. Having strong and productive relationships with local clubs only strengthens the community approach of Cardiff City.”
For their efforts, we would like to thank:
