Belgian Pro League
Sheyi Ojo was once again named as a starter in KV Kortrijk’s latest league match against Charleroi this week, playing the full 90 minutes in a narrow 1-0 defeat. Isaak Davies was introduced from the bench on the hour mark and almost made an immediate impact, with his effort hitting the post. The result leaves Kortrijk bottom of the table and hoping to move up the table in their next fixture against Cercle Brugge.
Belgian Second Division
Zulte Waregem extended their win streak to three with a 2-1 victory against Denize. Joel Bagan wasn’t included in this week’s matchday squad, however Essevee remain in second place just two points off leaders Lommel.
Scottish Premier League
Tom Davies featured for Kilmarnock as a half time substitute in their recent visit to Dundee on Saturday. Tom was introduced with the scores level at 1-1, and Killie pulled ahead thanks to a goal from Danny Armstrong, only to agonisingly concede in stoppage time, drawing 2-2 for the second consecutive week.
Scottish Second Division
Dundee United picked up all three points in their latest match against bottom of the table Inverness CT. Despite being down to 10 men, Chris Mochrie scored in the 93rd minute to steal the victory and move to the top of the Scottish Championship. Ollie Denham was named as a substitute for Dundee, but did not feature this game week.
League Two
Morecambe dug deep to pick up a point against Swindon Town in their fixture this week. Loanee Eli King played the full 90 minutes and put in a solid performance as Morecambe scored late to level the score at 2-2, despite Yann Songo’o picking up a second yellow in the 55th minute for a foul in the box. Former Premier League striker Charlie Austin converted the penalty before Ethan Walker equalised for Morecambe, who now sit 14th in the league standings.
National League
Maidenhead fell to a 3-0 defeat against Gateshead in their recent league fixture, with Chanka Zimba replacing Tobi Sho-Silva in attack in the 77th minute. Maidenhead will hope to bounce back in their next fixture against Altrincham as they look to end a four match losing streak.
National League South
Rohan Luthra again started for Slough Town in their recent match against Farnborough, who twice came back from being a goal down to draw 2-2. Slough continue their pursuit to qualify for the FA Cup draw next up, travelling to Salisbury in the third qualifying round on Saturday,26 30th September.
