2024/25 UEFA Women's Champions League Qualifying Draw | FC Twente vs. Cardiff City

Cardiff City FC Women will take on FC TWENTE in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Iain Darbyshire’s side will compete in a mini-tournament in Group 5, hosted by FC Twente, which begins at the semi-final stage.

The winner of the semi-final will face either Valur or ZFK Ljuboten in the Final, with a Third-Place Play-Off also taking place.

Victory in the Final will earn a place in the Second Qualifying Round, where a two-legged tie will take place.

The Semi-Final will take place on September 4th, with a Final or Third-Place Play-Off to follow on September 7th.

Having learned our opponents, head coach Darbyshire said: "We're really looking forward to the challenge of facing FC Twente. We'll be working really hard over the coming months to make sure that we're fully prepared to compete. 

"The experience last year was new for most of us; we learned so much from the campaign and saw the standard that we need to get to. Hopefully, we can take what we learned last year into this season."
