Nathaniel Mendez-Laing spoke following Cardiff City's impressive 2-0 away victory against Manchester United.
The former Rochdale winger, who scored both of City's goals in the final match of the 2018/19 season, began by describing his feelings at the end of both the match and campaign as a whole.
"It's an unbeliveable feeling," NML began. "Especially to get a win and put something out there for the fans after a tough season. On a personal level it was also nice to get two goals.
"To be fair we had quite a few chances and I think that we caught them on the counter attack quite a bit.
"It's frustrating to have been relegated, but at the same time I think that we've done well this season.
"It hasn't gone our way but I think that we've got a lot to be proud of as well, and it gives us momentum to take into the next season."
