Neil Warnock spoke at Cardiff City Stadium following the Bluebirds' New Year's Day loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
With City currently three points outside of the Premier League relegation zone, the Gaffer began by putting the defeat in the context of his side's festive results and opening half of the season.
"It was disappointing today, but you can't be too disappointed for too long," he said. "You've got to get on with it and we've had a great season so far.
"The goals knocked the stuffing out of us. I was pleased defensively in the second-half that we didn't concede more, as it's easy to throw the towel in when you're three-nil down against a team like that.
"We fight on. If you'd have said we'd get four points from these three games over the Christmas period, including two tough away trips, we'd have taken that really."
Neil went on to praise the home crowd, who stuck with the Bluebirds until the final whistle, before setting his sights on the month ahead.
"We had to stick at our task for the crowd," said the Gaffer. "They were magnificent. You heard them at the end there, and their support was amazing.
"As I said, today was disappointing though, because we didn't give ourselves any chance with the goals we conceded.
"I'm glad it's the FA Cup this weekend. We've got a break, and then we'll come out fighting again. I think we can get better in the second half of the season, and hopefully we'll have a couple of new additions as well."
