Neil Warnock spoke to the assembled press and media after Friday evening’s defeat to Watford at Cardiff City Stadium.
“I think when you play the game and you’re in football, you know how moments change games,” began Neil after the final whistle. “They’re a good side, and we've been beaten 5-1, but they didn’t half get some luck tonight with decisions like that - I just don’t know how the penalty wasn’t given.
“We’re going to get disappointments from now until the end of the season, but we’ve got to get that disappointment out of our system. We’ve responded to knock-backs in the last couple of years and it looks like we’ll have to do it again.”
Cardiff City are back in Premier League action as they host Everton on Tuesday evening, and the Gaffer explained the importance of rallying the troops after a disappointing evening.
“We’ve had a kick to the teeth, but we have to bounce back again now,” he said. “I’ve got a good group of lads and we’ve got to get over the disappointment in the next 48 hours and make sure we’re ready for Everton.”
